So Long Entertainment Industry!

For the past few years I've been pretty involved in the entertainment business. Examples of of this are my last company (iGem Productions) originating from an MTV Show we were filming and having worked in a prestigious Beverly Hills talent management company. Pretty much most of what I was doing related to the entertainment business in some capacity or another. With the exception of adapting the novel my best friend and I wrote into a television property (Helix Project), I decided to conclude all future activities in the entertainment business. Although I never really tried that hard to get into the industry (mainly because of my dislike for it), I did work in several ways in and around it.

After much deliberation and inner-searching I came to the conclusion it was something that I truly didn't like. I enjoy making movies as a way to tell a story, I like to act as a way to be someone other than myself, but as a business, or a career for that matter, it's just not who I am. I'm disgusted by people like Britney Spears and her celebrity whore-friends, I hate most of the movies churned out by Hollywood each and every weekend, and I can't stand watching TV for more than an hour. It just isn't me, and not something I want to continue associating myself with.

I will continue making short films and acting, but purely as a hobby with no real purpose other than having fun or educating the public on particular topics I feel are important. Now that I have determine what I'm not suppose to do, I can focus on finding my true calling in life.
